Scrappy Trip Along – Orange

To participate in this weeks Rainbow Scrap Challenge – happening at soscrappy – I made a set of orange scrappy trip along blocks.

I also did a little scrap management and cut a few strips of orange for future projects.

I’ve enjoyed working with orange, so bright and cheery, and I have just a few more scraps to work with, so hopefully there will be a post next Saturday with the last of my orange work.

Best Easter Gift Ever

This modern beauty was pieced by Janet for her son David and his partner Tanya as a gift for their new home.  Janet was visiting them and enjoying time with her grandchildren over Easter.  Like many of us when we make a gift for someone we are worried if they will like it.  After Janet’s return home I noticed a Facebook post tagging Janet with a picture of this beautiful quilt on their bed, the post said “Best Easter Gift Ever”.  I think they loved it.
