Thomas Kinkade Quilt

Lorna’s daughter made this idyllic quilt for a friend who likes Thomas Kinkade.  I think the colours and fabrics in the quilt compliment the panels so well.

Lorna brought the quilt over for her daughter and selected the Rambler Rose pantograph by Meredith England and a grey thread, excellent choices.

The quilt is backed with minky, so snuggly, and it really shows the quilting.

Chocolate for the RSC

My Friday evening was spent making chocolate slabs, chocolate paintboxes and in between I made a few chocolate leaders and enders.

And how about a few more delicious words for brown, like latte, mocha, coffee, java, can you think of some others?

This month we are working on brown, or black or even grey for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, click on over to Soscrappy to see what others are working on.  I think I’ve just about exhausted my brown scraps with last night’s projects, I’ll probably move on to black and grey for the upcoming Saturdays in October

Two I Spy quilts by Leanne

Leanne made these two I Spy quilts for a brother and sister. This first quilt with the green sashing was made for the little girl.

It was quilted with the Tumblin’ Teddy Bears pantograph by Patricia Ritter.

Leanne decided to have it quilted with the Animal Crackers pantograph also by Patricia Ritter.

We used a Rainbow variegated thread on both quilts, I just love all the bright colours used in these vivid quilts.
