Woven Finished

Happy to say that I have completed my One Monthly Goal for April, which was to quilt and bind my Woven quilt.  I found the pattern for Woven in the book Scraps, Inc. compiled by Susanne Woods.  The Woven pattern is the creation of Kati Spencer, who suggests choosing a colour palette. It was a good exercise for me.

It was also fun to pull strips from my strip stash.  I like to trim the bits of fabric that are left when cutting fabric for quilts, into usable sizes, anything from 3/4 inch to three inches to be used in future projects.  These come in so handy when I'm working on my scrappy quilts, and was an excellent starting point for this quilt.

This quilt has watery colours and fabrics, and I'm happy that Nemo landed right in the middle of it.

Quilted with a Bora Bora pantograph (wavey quilt pattern).

I was happy to find backing fabric that had all the colours of the front of the quilt.

Finding Nemo 'Woven' has been added to my 'Shop' page.

  1. Congratulations on the finish, Edith! I love it! It's beautiful. 3/4 inch strips are really tiny, the smallest I do is 1.5 inch.
