Wanderer’s Wife

Participating in Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal (OMG). I’ve completed my OMG for the month of January, which was to quilt and bind my Wanderer’s Wife quilt. 

Wanderer’s Wife is a pattern by Jen KIngwell, and I started this quilt as a Block of the Month through Out of Hand Quilt shop back in 2013.  I’d have to say putting it together was challenging, however I love it and would gladly do another Jen Kingwell quilt.

It’s a busy quilt and I thought it needed equally busy quilting, do I decided to quilt it with a pantograph called New Delhi #1 by Patricia E. Ritter and used a light turquoise thread. 

I was happy with the binding fabric I found, which blended nicely with the front and the back of the quilt.

An intention to finish a quilt

For January’s One Monthly Goal (OMG) I hope to quilt and bind my Wanderer’s Wife quilt.  Designed by Jen Kingwell, I started in this quilt in 2013 as a Block of the Month (or week) project through a local quilt shop – Out of Hand. 

I found a great piece of fabric for the backing, also at Out of Hand. 

Looking forward to getting this scrappy little quilt done, check by at the end of the month to see how I decided to quilt it, I think the quilting will be as busy as the quilt top.
