Stafford tablecloth by Deb

Deb made a quilt using these fabrics and what you see here is made from the fabric that was left over from the original quilt top.  Deb gave the left over pieces to a friend who pieced them into this lovely top which Deb decided that she wanted to use as a tablecloth, as it was just the right size.
Stafford pieced tablecloth
Quilted with swirls in the ‘in between’ rows and ‘in the ditch’ in the nine-patch blocks.
It isn’t too puffy as we only used a backing and the top, no batting.

I’ve seen other pieced and quilted tablecloths in friend’s homes; do you use a quilt as a tablecloth?  I’m afraid my family is too messy and it would be forever stained.

The fondest memories are made when gathered around the table.
