Is
complete! This is my October finish with
A Lovely Year of Finishes. I’m so glad I
found this blog, as I find a goal or a deadline really helps me to complete
projects.
My
colleague Grace asked me to make a bed runner for her a very long time ago, she
wanted it in bright colours with her name on it. Here is my interpretation of
what she wanted.
Grace's Bed Runner |
Grace and
I work in a Library and I think the bright bands almost look like books on a
shelf.
Some
custom quilting.
Staying
with the library (words) theme, I used a white on white text fabric for the back of the quilt.
I hope
she likes it, I’ll bring it to her when I return from the InternationalQuilt Festival in Houston. If this is not what
Grace had in mind, my husband is waiting in line, he likes this lively little quilt, I guess we could all use a
little Grace.
Please
take a moment to stop by A Lovely Year of Finishes and see what others have
completed this month.
I will hold myself to a standard of grace, not perfection.
have a great trip to Houston! Looking forward to hearing about it when you're back

ReplyDeleteLove the bed runner!! The stripes do look like book - so very clever of you!! Grace is a very lucky lady to have a friend like you. So glad you linked up with ALYOF so I could enjoy the eye candy!
ReplyDeleteLovely bright colours and I like how you used a different font for each letter.
