I
like this design that Carol used for this Tie quilt for her son Dale. The off-white parts are
muslin, and the ties are strip pieced into colourful blocks for in an off-set
center portion.

Carol
collected some ties from her husband and her son Dale, so there are some bits
of history and memories in this quilt, however she also collected a bunch of
out-grown (or outdated) ties from the guys in her aqua size class.
For
quilting Carol picked the Chantilly Lace pantograph by Norma Sharp and a maroon
coloured thread, which makes such a flattering design on the muslin.
