School teachers, cottages and decorating

Three quilts by Janet, the first is called …

Olivia’s Pencils
This fun quilt made as a gift for her granddaughter Olivia’s teacher.

Quilted to outline the pincils.

And backed with an excellent fabric, for a school teacher and her quilt.

Day Sails
A quilt for the cottage, in aqua blue and sail boat fabric.

Quilted with the windy High Seas pantograph by Hermione Agee and a mint coloured Glide thread.

More sail boat fabric for the back of this little quilt.

APQ Quilt Along 2005
Janet loves to decorate with quilts and I just love how this quilt looks in Janet’s home and on the deck.

Quilted with the Easy Orange Peel pantograph by Patricia E. Ritter and a soft yellow thread called Lemon Ice.

A great fabric for the back and orange peel looks good here too.

On the deck again.

And draped over the rail in the house.

I wish I had Janet’s knack for decorating, of course I would also have to have her knack for tidiness.
