My OMG for March

Time to post my One Monthly Goal (OMG) for March.

I have one quilt with a backing ready to go in my stash of quilts to finish.  I’ve been stalling for a while on this one as I want to quilt spiraling circles and will have to do that on my domestic machine.  I did find a video/tutorial which was helpful, and I do think I’ll practice on a smaller project first.

This month my goal is to quilt and bind this neutral coloured twin size Mile a Minute quilt. 

Okay, now it's time for me to layer and quilt.

Two Crib quilts

Two new babies in Lynda’s life and therefore two new baby quilts.  Both quilted with the ‘I Love It’ pantograph by Anne Bright. 

Isla’s Pink panel, quilted with Cotton Candy pink thread.  

And Jackson’s Blue panel, quilted with a soft blue thread called Cloud.

Slice of Cake quilt

Joan said this quilt is based on a pattern by Terry Morberg called Slice of Cake, so that’s what she’s named her quilt. 

Joan chose the Morning Glories pantograph by Patricia E. Ritter and Marybeth O'Halloran and a mint coloured thread for the quilting.  

I have a couple of layer cakes in my stash, I think this would be a nice way to use them.

Layer Cakes are collections of 10" x 10" squares of fabric. They are similar to a charm pack but a larger size. Layer Cakes are available by collection and typically include 42 pieces of fabric, though the number may vary.

You can’t buy happiness but you can buy cake (or layer cakes) and that’s kind of the same thing.

Levin’s Baseball quilt

Della made this baseball themed quilt especially for Levin (I believe he’s a grandson). 

I think her choice of the Little Hands pantograph is excellent for this quilt, just about the right size to hold those baseballs.

Whispering Bouquets

A king size quilt by Jane.  I believe this is from the pattern Winners Bouquet by Atkinson Designs.  Jane has added sashing which gives the quilt a really nice look. 

The Orange Peel pantograph is a pleasing match for this quilt block.  Quilted with a Light Turquoise Glide thread.

Della’s quilt

A king size blue and soft yellow batik quilt by Della, I like what she did with the sashing.  It was difficult to find the right place to get a good picture of (most of) this very large quilt.  

Quilted with the Rambler Rose pantograph and a cream coloured thread.

Star and Log quilt

I haven’t blogged customer quilts in a long time, (I’m actually not quilting for customers right now as I'm working full-time)

However I was just looking through some of my pictures of customer quilts (not yet posted) and they are so pretty, so I am going to try and finish posting my backlog.

Star and Log quilt is by Lauralee, this quilt is for herself and she thought it might go on a wall in her new house. 

Quilted with the Orange Peel pantograph and a cream coloured thread. 

I love the little bits of purple and burgundy in this quilt. 

A fairly large quilt measuring 75 inches square.
