What is black and white and red all over?

Black and White and Red all over quilt

This cute little quilt by Terry Morberg of Applepatch Design!  I like the little green surprise – whimsical.  We choose the popcorn pantograph, one of Terry’s favourites and black thread.

The traditional answer to the riddle, which relies upon the fact that the words "red" and "read" are homophones, is 'A newspaper'.  A homophone is a word that is pronounced the same as another word but differs in meaning.

The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go. - Dr. Seuss, "I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!"
