Yellow and Daisies Baby Quilt

This little quilt was made using all the squares that were left after piecing a full-sized Double Irish Chain quilt in yellow and blues.  I have yet to quilt the Double Irish Chain.

The ‘Daisies Galore’ pantograph by Irene Steele is a great match for the little yellow quilt.

I was planning to quilt the Double Irish Chain and sell the two as a set, however a friend wanted a baby quilt for a gift and this Yellow Daisy Baby quilt was it!

This is one of the first quilts that I quilted when I bought my Millennium long-arm quilting machine.  When I showed it to my friend Terry she started bringing me quilts, thank goodness, it was the push I needed, as up until then I kept telling everyone “I’m still practicing.”

I've always considered myself to be just average talent and what I have is a ridiculous insane obsessiveness for practice and preparation. ~ Will Smith

  1. Oh that Irish chain is simply lovely--so soft. And great idea to use the leftovers for another--it really works for both patterns so well...nice work...hugs, julierose

  2. Both are beautiful quilts. Great idea to use the leftovers and make a baby quilt with it.
