It was a dark Friday night in October…

…and I was sewing blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  I managed to make a couple more Scrappy Trip Along blocks, a couple of Wonky Churn Dash blocks and I only have enough solid black to make one paint box.  Good thing I’m going to the fabric store on Monday!

Karen’s Autumn Colourwash

Karen took a colourwash class with a friend a few years ago and was happy to get this beauty quilted and finished.  I love the purples in this quilt they make for a rich Fall themed quilt.

We decided the Falling Leaves pantograph by Dave Hudson was just the right match for Karen’s quilt.

Colourwash quilts are made up of small pieces of multi-colored print fabrics arranged so the values blend into one another.
