Two horsy quilts by Carol

Carol loves horses and making quilts with a ‘Calgary Stampede’ theme.  This first quilt titled “Cowgirl Roundup” will likely go to her grand-daughter Adi, who at the young age of 18 monthes was already riding a horse.

Carol also loves hearts, so we chose the Sweetheart pantograph from Willow Leaf Studio.

Another great horsey quilt by Carol, she called this her burgundy horse quilt.  Carol bought the fabric at Big Sky Quilts in Montana.

For this quilt we used the Shooting Star pantograph by Sue Schmieden.

The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo held every July in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The ten-day event, which bills itself as "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth", attracts over one million visitors each year and features one of the world's largest rodeos, as well as a parade, midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuck wagon racing and First Nations exhibitions.
