Jelly Beans by Judy

Judy loves to work with batiks, and I love quilting her colourful quilts, doesn’t this one suit its name?

To add to the sweetness we used the Spirals Pantograph by Denise Schillinger.

Spirals Pantograph
The Turkish Delight, a Middle Eastern sweet made of soft jelly, covered in confectioner's powder, was an early precursor to the jelly bean that inspired its gummy interior.

Another lovely quilt by Janet

Janet made this quilt because she liked the fabrics – they are attractive.  I noticed that corals, oranges and greys are coming into our pallet more these days and I find them so appealing.

It was quilted with the Chantilly Lace pantograph by Norma Sharp and a cool grey thread by Glide.

Chantilly Lace Pantograph

Chantilly lace is a handmade bobbin lace named after the city of Chantilly, France, in a tradition dating from the 17th century.

Theres nothing more exciting than starting a new project.
