A Goal for April

Once again I am taking part in One Monthly Goal (OMG) at Stories from the Sewing Room (blog).

After a time of downsizing and moving into a smaller, more appropriate home, I've found that I have a few projects to complete, and of course I still keep producing more quilts.

My goal for April is to quilt and bind this quilt called Woven.

It has a watery look to me, and it was fun to add this little strip with a clown fish - look closely.  Maybe I should call it finding Nemo.

Instructions for Woven can be found in the book Scraps, Inc. compiled by Susanne Woods.

Wish me luck and come by at the end of April to see if I have accomplished my goal.

Relishing Red

The colour of the month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge is Red. So I dipped into my little red scrap box.

After a few hours of fun ended up with these red Mile a Minute blocks.

It's so rewarding to sew through my scraps, I find it to be a meditative time, with pleasant memories of past projects, gifts and people.

Even when it's cold outside, our memories keep us warm.

Simply green

 Simply Green

This week I completed a few green mile a minute blocks, to participate in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge and also to encourage myself and once again develop a habit of blogging.

Here is my little collection of blocks.

It has been a busy and enjoyable week playing with fabric.

I am teaching a Double Wedding Ring Class and working on class samples - sneak peak.

I'm back

It's been a while, and I'm back with the hope of doing more blogging.

Starting this year with some blue Mile a Minute blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.

Blue Mile a Minute quilt blocks

Let's see what February brings for projects, finishes and colours of the rainbow.

There are a few quilt projects on the go, and I'm working on a Shop page (tab) for my blog, as this house has more quilts than it can use in a life-time and yet there's not much I like better than playing with fabric, sitting at my sewing machine and creating quilts.  It's time to let some of them find new homes.

Quilting is my passion… chocolate comes in a close second.
