Thimbleberries House and Garden Quilt by Jan

Jan made this lovely quilt as a wedding gift for her son and his new wife.  The quilt is from a Thimbleberries pattern called House and Garden.

I think the house and two hearts are a lovely design on a quilt for two people starting their life together.

Jan thought the Blowin’ Wind pantograph by Jodi Beamish and a light tan thread would be nice for the quilting.

Such a lovely wedding gift.

Little Black Dress a quilt by Diane

The line of fabric used in this quilt is called Little Black Dress and I believe it is by Moda. Diane’s pattern choice features this fabric so nicely.

Diane’s choice for quilting was the Baptist Fan pantograph by Hermione Agee and a grey thread.

Diane usually incorporates back art on her quilts, a nice way to use up extra quilt blocks and fabric.

Simply elegant Diane.

Fire Escape a quilt by Deb

I finally get it, I have seen this quilt made up in a few different colourways and always love how it looks, however I never knew the name ‘Fire Escape’.  It makes sense, that’s exactly what it looks like. The pattern Fire Escape is by Terry Atkinson and I love the colours that Deb selected to make her eye-catching quilt.

Deb thought that the Blowin’ Wind pantograph by Jodi Beamish and a celery coloured thread were the proper finish to this lovely quilt top.

Another green fire escape.

A leaf fluttered in through the window this morning, as if supported by the rays of the sun, a bird settled on the fire escape, joy in the task of coffee, joy accompanied me as I walked. ~ Anais Nin
