Bear Hugs plus

Pat made this quilt called Bear Hugs for baby Sebastian, made with soft furry bears.

I have a pantograph called Tumblin’ Teddy Bears by Patricia Ritter which was just right for this quilt, you can even see some of them in the Bear’s tummy.

Pat found a nice blue plaid flannel to back Sebastian’s quilt with.

Pat also brought me this cozy flannel brick quilt, which we quilted with the Animal Crackers pantograph also by Patricia Ritter.

Janet’s quilts

Two bright and white quilts by Janet.  The first Janet has named Bass Note, you will find this quilt by Sarah Fielke in her book Hand Quilted with Love, Sarah called it Bass Line, in any case you get the idea, it looks like the “bass line on a stereo”.

A few of us got together and shared our Kaffe Fassett (style) fabrics and each made our version of this lively quilt.

Janet wanted hers quilted like the quilt in Sarah’s book, infinity looks in the coloured portion and loops in the white areas.

Kaffe Fasset’s Asian Circles fabric is a great backing for this quilt.

I didn’t get the name of Janet’s second quilt, however I did jot down that it is a Fons and Porter pattern.

Quilted with the Square Dance pantograph by Anne Bright.

Backed with a red Kaffe Fassett Target fabric.

Janet decorates her house with quilts and changes the colours and styles to suit the seasons and occasions, these two will be a bright addition to her delightful décor.

Floating Stars quilt

This lovely and bright quilt was made by Carol, I do believe she had some little person in mind when making it.  Such delightful prints and colours.
Floating Stars quilt

Carol and I decided that the Shooting Star pantograph by Sue Schmieden was a nice match for the floating stars.  We used a variegated thread called Patriot on the top and a lilac bobbin which shows off nicely on the back of the quilt.

Winter Wonderland

This is Doreen’s quilt which she named Winter Wonderland, using winter themed and blue fabrics from her stash.  The quilt top is made with a snowball block alternating with a nine-patch.

Doreen has added a couple of zingers, in red and plaid and finished with a lovely snowflake border.

Keeping on the winter snowflake theme, Winter Wonderland is quilted with the Winter White pantograph by Dave Hudson and a titanium coloured thread.

ABC baby quilt

Made by Margaret who loves to work with batiks, such a nice job on this baby quilt. I have to add Margaret is a flawless quilter, so I am always happy and a little unnerved to work on her quilts.

Margaret chose the lovely Chantilly Lace pantograph by Norma Sharp and a mauve Glide thread called Tabriz Orchid.

She found a great flannel alphabet fabric for the back or this cute quilt.

Margaret is always bringing me baby and wedding quilts, intended as gifts to family and friends.

A quilt for a grandson

Oakie’s vehicle quilt made by grandma Liz, such a fun and energetic quilt for a little boy.

Oakie's quilt
For Oakie’s quilt I used a pantograph called Go Go Go by Anne Bright.  It has airplanes, helicopters, trucks and a train engine, can you see them?

The back of Oakie’s quilt has hockey theme fabric in complimentary colours.

A great quilt I think many little boys would love to own.
