Lorna made this quilt for her grand-daughter
Elena. Isn’t
this just the cutest fabric? Fashioned after the book Brown Bear, Brown
Bear, What Do You See? by Eric Carle and Bill Martin, Jr.

Lorna
thought the pantograph Paper Dolls by Patricia Ritter would be a cute complement
to the little people in the border fabric. This quilt has a minky
backing.

You might know Eric Carle for The Very Hungry
Caterpillar, or any of the many other children’s books he has written.
We have eyes, and we're
looking at stuff all the time, all day long. And I just think that whatever our
eyes touch should be beautiful, tasteful, appealing, and important. ~ Eric Carle
I love the quilt and the pantograph is perfect!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue, I agree, cute pantograph.
DeleteI love that book! I could probably still recite it by heart and I have not read it for a few years. He does such a great job with books and I love that they have the fabric lines to match.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite Eric Carle books is The very hungry caterpillar. Yes this fabric is great. I think a quilt and a book would make a great baby gift!
