Turquoise

Turquoise Mile a Minute

When I saw the August colour for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge I didn’t think I would be able to do it as I had grouped all my blue scraps together in July.  However I went through my scrap drawer and just pulled out Turquoise like colours and had no problem coming up with enough scraps to make these Mile a Minute blocks.

Be sure to check out what others are doing with their turquoise scraps at soscrappy.

Turquoise is a bluish tone of light green. The color is based on the gem turquoise. The word turquoise, which dates to the 16th century, is derived from an Old French word for "Turkish", because the mineral was first brought to Europe from Turkey.

  1. Very cheery! I keep saying I must try this technique, but never seem to make it happen. Could I possibly have too many projects calling my name?! :)

  3. Beautiful collection. It is amazing how many scraps keep coming out of our bis and how any blocks the keep turning into.
