Christmas Sampler Quilt |
I pieced this Christmas quilt in Mary Lou Scott’s sampler
class many years ago. I always refer to
this class as my ‘Master Quilting Class’ as Mary Lou was a master quilter who
taught many quilters. Each week
we would get together make a new block and learn some new techniques. One week Mary Lou would teach us several ways
to hand appliqué, another week she would teach us several ways to machine appliqué,
every week new piecing magic. I learned
so much in this class and took away my own favourite techniques which I use to
this day.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Edith. My friend gave me lovely quilt as a going away gift. While we are in temporary accommodation it is spread out as a reminder of home and friends
ReplyDeleteA quilt - indeed a lovely gift your friend has given you. I would love to see a picture of it.
DeleteWhy didn't I think of that before? She has made some wonderful quilts. I am visiting Calgary in February so I will take some pictures and write a post on them.
