Evening Star quilt by Shirley

Shirley uses flannel to make all of her quilt and I’m impressed that this cozy scrappy quilt is made entirely out of flannel.  I’m also impressed with the variety of prints that she was able to find, all in flannel.  I don’t find flannel as easy to work with as quilting cotton and I think Shirley did an amazing job matching corners and just getting the flannel to behave.

Shirley chose the Blowin’ Wind pantograph by Jodi Beamish and a Mocha coloured thread.

Shirley says people just love to touch and cuddle in her flannel quilts when they visit her house. This quilt and a cup of Mocha are sure to keep you warm on a wind blowing day.
