My November finish

I’m participating in a blog party called A Lovely Year ofFinishes and for November my goal was to quilt and bind a couple of baby quilts.  So here they are.

This little grey and yellow quilt I’ve called Giraffe Baby quilt, named for the backing fabric and the pantograph which includes a baby giraffe.

None of the fabric on the front was particularly babyish, so I was happy to find the yellow and grey giraffe fabric.  The pantograph by Patricia Ritter is called Animal Crackers and includes a giraffe

And a lion

Here is a picture of the back, with the lovely giraffe fabric and bits of many fabrics from the front of the quilt.

The second baby quilt that I completed is a ‘Mile a Minute’ pattern, bordered with pastel cow fabric.

For this quilt I used a pantograph by Patricia Ritter called Moo, Ewe and Piggy too.  Can you make out the cow and the pig?

Two quilts by Heather

I think Heather’s plan for these two complementary quilts was that they would be for her granddaughter’s when they came to stay overnight.   The first one is Turquoise and Coral Spring Quilt, as I type it I’m wondering if it is a Spring as in the season, or a water spring, either would suit this quilt.  Quilted with the Daisies Galore pantograph by Irene Steele.

The second is an aqua and rusty peach Plus Quilt. One of these photo’s shows the quilt colours better, and the other shows the quilting.

The Plus Quilt was quilted with the Spirals pantograph by Denise Schillinger, and a thread called cloud, which is the lightest shade of aqua/blue.
