Under the Sea quilt

My One Monthly Goal (OMG) for September is completed.  I set out to quilt and bind this quilt made with many water themed fabrics so I’ve decided to call it Under the Sea. 

Here are some of the fun fabrics I’ve included. 

Quilted with the Seaside pantograph by Kathie James and a Marine variegated top thread.  Hopefully you can see the shell shapes in the quilting, there are four, along with wavy water swirls. 

 

I found this great ocean waves fabric for the backing. 

And I remembered to label this quilt before quilting. 

Looking through my stash I found this lovely Japanese Sashico looking fabric, it reminds me of the Shells quilt pattern, another quilt on my to do list.

Dark Blue High Five

Sewed up a few High Five quilt blocks this week in the September Rainbow Scrap Challenge colour of dark blue. 

When I was arranging the blocks for this picture, I realized that I had made ten of each the small blocks and one large one of all the other colours.  So, one more to go, it will be done, maybe later today.

The High five block pattern is from the book Sunday Morning Quilts by Amanda Jean Nyberg and Cheryl Arkison.

Hawaiian Tumbler Quilt

A collection of floral Hawaiian prints, pieced by Pat into this delightful tumbler quilt.

Pat picked the Bellflower pantograph by Patricia E. Ritter and a Rainbow variegated thread for the quilting.

Yellow Brick Road quilt

This beauty was pieced by MaryAnn, using Sandy Gervais fabrics. 

Quilted with Anne’s Garden, a pantograph by Anne Bright. 

If you look closely you can see the hummingbirds. 

I think this quilt is totally reversible with this modern looking back.

Sunbonnet Sue quilt

Made by Stella for Betty. 

Stella decided that we should just outline Sue with quilting and then quilt the sashing with the Bellflower pantograph by Patricia E. Ritter.

Mickey Panel Quilt

Diane brought me this cute Mickey Mouse quilt, I believe it was for her grandson Grayson. 

Quilted with the whimsical Popcorn pantograph by Jodi Beamish, which almost mimics Mickey’s ears. 

Diane found a great fabric for the back of this quilt.

Carolina’s Quilt

Michelle brought me this lovely quilt to be long-armed and I don’t have too many details written on my intake sheet. 

I believe it for Carolina and I know it was going to be mailed to London.

Carolina’s quilt is quilted with the Daisies Galore pantograph by Irene Steele and a pink Glide thread called Rhododendron. 

I love soft pink and green together, for some reason tea roses come to mind.
