Quick Four Patch

Purple Quick Four Patch

This Purple Quick Four Patch quilt was started after watching a ‘Morberg’s Monday’ at Freckles Quilt Shop.  Terry’s (Morberg) sample was in Mochaccino and cream colours.  The requirements were one fat eighth bundle of dark prints and one fat eight bundle of light prints, as well as the contrasting fabric for the bars.  I came home and had a look at my fat eight bundles and purple was in abundance, I actually had double the requirements, so decided to make a twin size quilt.  It was fun to use up the little bundles that were waiting to be a quilt.

This is the last week for Purple in the Rainbow ScrapChallenge, have a look at what others have done with purple at soscrappy.

Purple is a range of hues of color occurring between red and blue, it occurs by mixing the primary colors red and blue in varying proportions.

Awards – Spread the Love

I am long overdue acknowledging my blogger friends for nominating me for blogging awards:

Thanks so much to Bev at Little House Creations and Judi at Judi Quilts for recognizing my blog and nominating me for the Liebster award – please check out their blogs to be wowed by beautiful quilts and other pretty things.

Liebster is German for favourite - the award is presented to smaller blogs as a form of recognition and support.   A 'Smaller blog' is one with 200 followers or less.

As a recipient you are to:

1. Link back to the person who gave it to you and thank them.
2. Post the award to your blog.
3. Give the award to 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers that you appreciate and value.
4. Leave a comment on the 5 blogs to let them know that they have been offered this award.

My three nominees (breaking the rules a little) for the Liebster award are:

Quilted Charm – a lovely new blog by a supportive fellow longarm quilter
Quilting on the Crescent – pretty quilting blog from New Orleans
Sara Lou – quilter near London  - and she has a ‘giveaway’ which closes Sunday.

Susan at As Long As You Have A Garden (please check out Susan’s beautiful garden blog) nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award, Thank You Susan.

My nominee for the Versatile award goes to Unending Dirt, this site waxes philosophical on dirt, with well chosen short video clips, I always enjoy my visits to Unending Dirt, truly a 'Versatile' blog.

Please take a moment to check out these blogs, perhaps one of them might become a new favourite for you.

And Once gain, Thank you to Bev, Judi and Susan, glad you like my Inch by Inch Quilting blog.
