Plantation Road Quilt

Plantation Road Quilt

Every year when Vicki returns to England to visit her relatives she brings a quilt for one of her cousins.  This Blue and White Plantation Road quilt was one of those gifts made for her cousin Lizzie.  Vicki chose the pantograph Paisley Max by Jodi Beamish to complement the paisley in the background squares.  This was a very large quilt measuring 107” x 94”.  Lucky cousin!  The Plantation Road Pattern is by Paula Barnes.

In the 19th century European production of paisley increased, particularly in the Scottish town from which the pattern takes its modern name.
