To participate in this weeks Rainbow Scrap Challenge – happening at
soscrappy – I made a set of orange scrappy trip along blocks.
Scrappy Trip Along |
I also did a little scrap management and cut a few strips of
orange for future projects.

I’ve enjoyed working with orange, so bright and cheery, and
I have just a few more scraps to work with, so hopefully there will be a post
next Saturday with the last of my orange work.
I'd rather be stitchin'
than in the kitchen!
than in the kitchen!
Love, love, love your stripy quilts. You have a lot of orange!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them Lesley, once I started gathering my orange scraps I had much more that I thought.
DeleteI'm loving orange too! Your scrappy trip is great.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carla, I'm enjoying doing the scrappy trip.
DeleteGreat use of all those different Oranges.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I've made a dent in the orange.
DeleteWow, that's a lot of work - how precise and patient you must have to be :)
ReplyDeleteGlinda, it wasn't very difficult following the tutorial at Quiltville, for a link see my January, Rainbow Scrap Challenge Pink post. Done like trip around the world with strip piecing.
DeleteEveryone seems to be enjoying the orange challenge - great trip!
ReplyDeleteThanks Frances, I agree we all do seem to be enjoying orange, I'm enjoying the trip ; )
DeleteI feel myself giving in to the TATW fever. Your orange TATW blocks look wonderful! Are you planning to continue TATW blocks in all the rainbow colors?
ReplyDeleteYes Angie, I plan on making these blocks in every colour during the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, then hopefully sew them together into a quilt at the end.
DeleteYour Rainbow Scrap Along is so pretty--love the different oranges together--Julierose
ReplyDeleteThanks Julierose, it's been fun arranging my oranges to work together in the blocks, I actually made a little mistake while doing these scrappytripalongs and decided to leave it.
DeleteGorgeous vibrant orange blocks - love them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, I like clear bright colours (for the most part).
