Friday evening was spent in sewing black, grey and brown (I
prefer chocolate) blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I have a little book where I keep track of
quilts in progress to see what I needed to finish up some of my rainbow
projects.
For my Scrappy Trip Along I needed two more chocolate
blocks, so took a look through my precut 2 ½ inch strips from previous evenings
of scrap management and made a couple of blocks. Now I just need to make three more yellow and
six turquoise and the Scrappy Trip Along blocks with be finished and make a
very large quilt.

As a somewhat mindless way to just sew and finish the
evening I worked on a couple of grey slabs, my slabs are the beginning of
another Rainbow quilt project.

Rainbow projects still in progress to be continued into next
year:
Wonky Churn Dash – Well
begun
Rainbow Mile a Minute – I’m
sewing the top together
Paint Box – Need 11 more blocks
in various colours
Black and White Crazy Patch (with
a dash of colour) – just a couple more blocks to go
Could that really be all?
Maybe I’m closer than I think!

ReplyDeleteGreat blocks and super organization.
ReplyDeleteLove the pops of hot pink in the gray slabs.
ReplyDeleteI really like your heart blocks. What size are they? Keep up the good work on your rainbow projects.
ReplyDeleteNo matter if you call them slabs, crumbs or made fabric...I really like making and using up scraps that way.
