Frozen quilts

Two frozen quilts made by Deb for two grand-daughters.

Quilted with the Winter White pantograph by Dave Hudson, we used a soft blue thread for Nia’s quilt.

And a mauve thread for Kaleah’s quilt.

ABC baby quilt

Made by Margaret who loves to work with batiks, such a nice job on this baby quilt. I have to add Margaret is a flawless quilter, so I am always happy and a little unnerved to work on her quilts.

Margaret chose the lovely Chantilly Lace pantograph by Norma Sharp and a mauve Glide thread called Tabriz Orchid.

She found a great flannel alphabet fabric for the back or this cute quilt.

Margaret is always bringing me baby and wedding quilts, intended as gifts to family and friends.

Life is an adventure in giving.

A quilt for a grandson

Oakie’s vehicle quilt made by grandma Liz, such a fun and energetic quilt for a little boy.

Oakie's quilt
For Oakie’s quilt I used a pantograph called Go Go Go by Anne Bright.  It has airplanes, helicopters, trucks and a train engine, can you see them?

The back of Oakie’s quilt has hockey theme fabric in complimentary colours.

A great quilt I think many little boys would love to own.

Three quilts by Janet

English Bunny is what Janet is calling this first darling baby quilt, I just love the fabric.

The Chantilly Lace pantograph by Norma Sharp goes so well with this quilt and the theme, we also used a Glide thread in the softest aqua colour called cloud.

A lovely complementary border fabric on the back of this sweet quilt.

Baby Owl quilt is the name of this second baby quilt, and of course it has cute little owls on it.

Quilted with the Little Hands pantograph by Anne Bright and a light turquoise Glide thread.

Mint Julep is Janet’s third quilt, a lovely minty/aqua and white log cabin quilt.  Can you see the log cabin blocks?

This delicate beauty was quilted with a pantograph called 'I love it' again by Anne Bright and a glide thread called appropriately Mint Julep.

Three more lovely quilts by Janet.

A Kaffe Fassett Tumbler quilt

Heather made this tumbler quilt out of Rowan fabric, mostly Kaffe Fassett’s.  She had her grandaughters help her with placement of the tumblers.

Daisies Galore pantograph by Irene Steele and a marine blue coloured thread look great on this quilt.

I like how the daisy quilting is positioned on this flower.

Heather picked a great backing fabric for this quilt, and the daisies show pleasantly with the blue thread.

Day of the Dead quilt

This quilt was made by Lorna for her daughter, who loved the fabric.

Day of the Dead quilt
Lorna’s daughter felt there wasn’t quite enough of the Day of the Dead fabric in it, so I found a Sugar Scull pantograph called Fiesta by Sandrah Burrier to help fill in the complementary fabrics and background with Sugar Skulls.

Fiesta pantograph
Día de los Muertos, also known as the Day of the Dead, is a holiday when people remember those who have died. Largely celebrated in Mexico, it dates back to pre-Hispanic civilizations from 2,500 to 3,000 years ago.

Day of the Dead fabric
My husband fell in love with this quilt and I have been looking for Fiesta, Sugar Skull or Day of the Dead fabric ever since (no luck yet).
