Look what came in the mail!

Celestial Fat Quarters
What an exciting day I had last week when a squishy envelope arrived in the mail.

Ellen at Little Jewel Quilts had a 300th post give-away.  I loved the fabric, left a comment and was the winner of the Fun Celestial Design package of Fat Quarters.  Beautiful fabrics and colours, and now I get to dream and plan a project for these little lovelies - they play nicely with my stash.  Thank you Ellen.

Stay tuned here at Inch by Inch Quilting, as my 100th blog post is very close and I have a giveaway planned as well.

Scrappy Trip Along in Purple

Scrappy Trip Along

I decided to look up different words for purple and this is what google gave me:  amethyst, burgundy, damson, grape, heliotrope, hyacinth, lavender, lilac, livid, magenta, mauve, mulberry, orchid, pansy, plum, raisin, violet, wine.  I was actually looking for a word for my ScrappyTripAlong blocks; in the end I think they are purple.

Still had more lavender bits, so added to my Paintbox collection.

Purple Paintbox Collection

Last year while doing the Rainbow Scrap Challenge I was thinking about the Rainbow colours and wondered about the difference between Indigo and Violet.  This year I have lumped all shades and hues into Purple blog posts.

You can see all kinds of purple quilty things happening on Saturday at Soscrappy, take a peek.
