The Buggy Barn

Last weekend I attended a Buggy Barn Trunk Show and Workshop in Red Deer, Alberta with my friend CarolynThe Trunk Show and Workshop followed the Central Alberta Quilters Guild annual Quilt show.  Here is Carolyn working on the Spring Fever a Buggy Barn quilt.

Pam and Janet are very entertaining and they are excellent teachers, the whole experience was FUN, it just didn’t last long enough.

This was my first time to try their technique and I choose to do their Heart Crazies pattern in Shabby Chic fabrics.  Here is a picture of my heart before I started Switching and Swapping.

Here is my first block finished.

As we completed our first block we taped them to the wall.  Pam and Janet wanted us to finish at least one block, after that they enforced chain piecing, such a time saver!

I had to have my picture taken with Lynne, one of the event’s organizers as I found out that she is a cousin of my friend Wanda, small world.
