Green
is the colour of the month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, this Friday evening I
was able to sew a few green hearts.

It
was a good evening, I think I’m finally figuring out the little hearts, the few
that I inherited were paper pieced, not a method that I’m familiar with, so I’m
trying to reinvent the block.
After I got all the hearts and paint box
blocks sewn my daughter arrived home and wanted me to help her with her income
taxes, so I got that done as well and I even went to bed at a decent hour. Some evenings are more productive than
others. Drop by soscrappy to see what others have done with their green
scraps.
Nothing makes a person more
productive than the last minute.
Ohh, love the green hearts. Great paintbox blocks. Love the flower in the center. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Judy, I'm enjoying the colours of the hearts, not so sure about the paintbox blocks, it's going to be scrappy and reflect my past collection for sure.
DeleteI can't wait to see all the heart blocks together at the end of the year - I think they will look wonderful! Like the different fabrics in the paint box blocks, too. One of them looks like sea foam green?
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie, I'm starting to think about how to put the hearts together, sashing, cornerstones etc? Paint box are such a hodge podge.
DeleteLove your pretty heart and paint box blocks. Can't wait to see all your colorful blocks in quilts. Especially the hearts.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila, I think the hearts will come together nicely, need to think about how to bring these hearts together, sashing and such.
DeleteWow!!Very nice your green hearts!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara, hearts seem to be a favourite.
DeleteCute blocks and your hearts are adorable. You have a wonderful range of greens.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellen, I do have a lot of greens, however it was still hard trying to find five prints that would go with my solids for the paintbox blocks.
DeleteBoth blocks are adorable. I look forward to seeing your finished project with the blocks,
ReplyDeleteKaren, I'm looking forward to seeing finished projects as well, I'm so good at making and collecting stacks of blocks.
DeleteSuch different greens in all your blocks...green is such a fun and varied colour to play with!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, I still have a whole lot of green, not sure if I'll even make a dent this month.
DeleteHi Edith--I love those little hearts of deep green! And the paintboxes are really cute--I hadn't seen that pattern before..hugs Julierose
ReplyDeleteHi Julierose, the hearts seem to be a favourite, I found paintbox over at the Oh, Fransson! blog and thought they would work for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.
DeleteGreat blocks for scraps. Both will make such cute quilts.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are using up some of my little bits of green.
DeleteLove the hearts (like everyone else!). You are making me want to pull out my baggie of prints and make a cute heart quilt from one of my magazines! Maybe after a few deadlines are reached in the next month....
ReplyDeleteLove that top paintbox. Very soothing colors.
