Last Saturday in September

This is the last Saturday in orange for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, good thing I looked at my calendar as I thought we had another Saturday of orange and I was kind of procrastinating.  I spent an enjoyable evening making a quilted storage box following the pattern by Amanda Jean Nyberg in the book Sunday Morning Quilts.  It starts out with a couple of slabs.
Quilted storage box

This box has so many pretty sides, I think I’ll have to keep turning it so that I can continue to enjoy all of them.

Once finished I filled it with my orange/peach scraps.

Looks like there are a few more adventures in there.

Have a look at all the other orange scrappy projects at the RainbowScrap Challenge.
I have far too much storage space - said no-one ever.

  12. What a great idea! I could see a box in each color to store the scraps. Just need a nice shelf to store them on!

  13. What a delightful box! I'm wondering though, what did you use to support the top of the sides? It looks like you have inserted something rigid around the top to prevent sagging. I'd like to be able to do that too.
