Joan’s Baby Quilts

Joan has a lot of babies in her life, some are her grandbabies, and then she makes quilts for her extended family and friends too.  Here are her latest three.  The first all in flannel is for Isabelle’s baby sister, we know it’s a sister, the name is still a secret.

For this peachy quilt in the Yellow Brick Road pattern we used Joan’s favourite pantograph for baby quilts (mine too) Popcorn by Jodi Beamish.

Here is another again in flannel and the Yellow Brick Road pattern, the same prints however a different colourway, a bit more blue/green.

Also quilted in the popcorn pantograph for this quilt we used a celery colour Glide thread.

Joan finished the back of this darling quilt with something I always love - back art – using up all those little bits and pieces of complementary fabrics from the front.

Joan’s third quilt is called Dragons, what fun fabric!  This quilt is for baby L.

Dragons quilt
Dragons was quilted with the Spirals pantograph by Denise Schillinger with a Rainbow variegated thread.
