... is the colour for June with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge(RSC), so I decided to start with the Birch Tree quilt block.
The pattern for this cute little block is by Amanda Jean
Nyberg who blogs at CrazyMom Quilts,
she is also the author a new book called No Scrap Left Behind. I just love the brightness of the yellow in the
background fabric which is hand-dyed from Colorways by Vicki Welsh. I
have two more pieces of Vicki’s hand-dyed fabric waiting for future colours/months
of the RSC.
While sewing my Birch Tree blocks I also made a few yellow
leaders and enders which I’m collecting for a future Postage Stamp quilt.
A fun and relaxing Friday evening of quilting, a great way
for me to end a week of work.
On Friday the only decision I need to make is bottle or glass.
I like it with yellow
