Green Hearts

Green is the colour of the month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, this Friday evening I was able to sew a few green hearts.
Heart quilt blocks

As well as a few more Paintbox blocks.
Paintbox blocks

It was a good evening, I think I’m finally figuring out the little hearts, the few that I inherited were paper pieced, not a method that I’m familiar with, so I’m trying to reinvent the block.

After I got all the hearts and paint box blocks sewn my daughter arrived home and wanted me to help her with her income taxes, so I got that done as well and I even went to bed at a decent hour.  Some evenings are more productive than others.  Drop by soscrappy to see what others have done with their green scraps.

Nothing makes a person more productive than the last minute.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Judy, I'm enjoying the colours of the hearts, not so sure about the paintbox blocks, it's going to be scrappy and reflect my past collection for sure.

  2. I can't wait to see all the heart blocks together at the end of the year - I think they will look wonderful! Like the different fabrics in the paint box blocks, too. One of them looks like sea foam green?

    1. Thanks Ellen, I do have a lot of greens, however it was still hard trying to find five prints that would go with my solids for the paintbox blocks.

  10. Love the hearts (like everyone else!). You are making me want to pull out my baggie of prints and make a cute heart quilt from one of my magazines! Maybe after a few deadlines are reached in the next month....
