Indian Summer Morning quilt by Donna

Donna’s quilts are always very artistic, and so is this portrait of an Indian Summer in the morning quilt.  For some strange reason I didn’t take a picture of the whole quilt, but instead sections.  This quilt was very light on the top, like a sky and got darker at the bottom, like grass or leaves.

Donna knew when she brought me this quilt that she wanted the Caliente pantograph by Patricia Ritter.  She also wanted to change the thread throughout the quilt to correspond with the fabric.  Quilted with five different shades of thread.

The back of this quilt mimics the front, starting with light at the top and getting darker at the bottom.
